I’m a mom who has been a pre-school and a second grade teacher. I have degrees in psychology and elementary education. But most of all – I love children’s books! Every time I go into a bookstore I go straight to the children’s section to see what wonderfully new and exciting books have arrived.

Their favorite books is all about kids and their favorite books. It really is that simple. I created this site to share with the world the books my son and I found interesting, fun, memorable, and dear. I would love to hear from all of you about what your children’s favorite books are or were as well.

The books I talk about are special to someone, they don’t have to be recognized by the official reviewers or awards committees. The place that all of the books found here are dear is in the hearts of children big and small – the only place that really matters.
